New Conti Products?
Snaking the Echo product news briefly, EuroBike is in full effect now - with a good presence from those guys over at Inspired - and some new product info has been leaking out gradually. Continental have been making awesome tyres for a long ol' time now, with the Der Kaiser and Rain King/Der Baron tyres being popular amongst the 'grip at all costs' fraternity and the Rubber Queen being a staple for those who prefer things lighter and bouncier.
With their addition of Danny MacAskill to their roster it seemed a step into the 24" market was likely, and here are the fruits of their labour - the as-yet un-named Danny Mac tyre:

Various riders have been testing these tyres and with some good initial reports hopefully they'll be out sooner rather than later...

MK to BF video!
Adam Bessell has been a friend of ours for a long time now, and with the recent change-up to our team line up we decided to get him involved. A 'Welcome' video's been in the works for a long time, but weather and time have both been holding back our progress. The break in the weather last week gave us a chance to meet up and have a ride, so Ali C and Joe Maher came out and rode Milton Keynes and Barrow Farm for a bit of team bonding. Isn't that nice?
If you'd like to learn more about Bessell, click here to check out his team page.

New Tom Rankin video!
Early on Saturday morning, Joe and Tom got together to hammer out a new video of Tom on his shiny new Radix, before Tom headed off to go to a family occasion. Despite only having an hour to film (between 10am-11am - about an hour before I can usually function as a human being), Tom managed to smash out some beasty lines at Barrow Farm.

Beavers and big flanges.
So childish.
We've got a couple of new items in stock - the Maxxis Beaver 26" tyre and the DMR LOCDD grips in green - now with flange!
The Beaver is a lightweight (509g) 26 x 2.0" front tyre. It uses the latest Maxxis Dual Compound technology to give a nice stable carcass then some grippy softer compound rubber from the tread pattern itself.
The LOCDD grips are some tried-and-tested lock-on grips from DMR Bikes, now available in a new Heather Green/White colourway, with high flange. Comfy and grippy - ideal...

TrialsDisplay
This weekend on a trip down to London I got a chance to say hi to Danny Butler and Ben Slinger who were down doing some shows for Trials Display - a demo team we've been helping out for the past few years.
The shows were taking place in the heart of Kingston-upon-Thames, where the recent Olympics Road Racing and Time Trial races were held - as a result, there was a healthy bike-friendly crowd there! Danny posted this photo up on Twitter a few days ago - @dannybutler1986 if you'd like to follow him or @trialsdisplay if you'd like to follow Ben - so I thought I'd share it here too.

New Flipp videos
Thanks to the recent deadline extension for the GETcreative comp, team rider Flipp decided to use up the footage he had saved up so far to then whip up a new video nearer the GET deadline. Fortunately for us, that means we get a couple of new videos! First up is the 'main feature' video - Fire Coming Out of the Monkey's Head:
There's also an accompanying crashes/extras video which contains some ridiculous riding too, as well as some trademark Flipp crashes (for more of those, click here...):
The other big news from Flipp today is the announcement of his sponsorship by none other than Trialtech, as well as up-and-coming frame builders JAF Bikes. Here's a quick photo of Flipp's latest setup, featuring some top drawer Sport and SL parts from Trialtech, as well as his new custom frame from JAF.
If you'd like to see yet more of Flipp, you can click this link to check out his new gallery on the Trialtech site which includes photos like this serious business sidehop to rail:

New from Koxx/Try-All...
We've had a couple of new bits and pieces show up from France including the Koxx Foxx 20" frame and the Try-All Entry forks.
The Entry Forks are a great set of cheaper 4-bolt only steel forks - they aren't the lightest around but they're nice and tough and at £40 (inc. VAT) they won't break the bank. You can also find these forks on the front of the Koxx Yellow complete bikes.
The Foxx Frame is a top-of-the-range frame aimed at younger riders. With competition/UCI-inspired geometry and a low overall weight, this is going to be the ideal tool for the next generation of comp riders!

You can check that out here, where there are a bunch of interviews and footage up from the recent Dressler Camp. I really should've gone this year... Next year it is!

New 24" rubber!
The 24" trials market has been taking off of late, although the main limiting factor seemed to be the lack of suitable tyres for the rear of more trials-orientated bikes. Schwalbe have produced a few different options, although they've been a little tricky to get hold of in the UK. Fortunately, we've managed to pick up some of their Fat Albert tyres which are a good bet if you'd like a larger volume, lighter 24" rear tyre.

The new Inspired Skye
Danny MacAskill's signature Inspired Skye 24" Bike has had a couple of little tweaks here and there for mid-2012, bringing it bang up to date. The Hope brakes fitted to the bike now feature the 'Evo' version of the HopeTech levers fitted to new Hope Trial Zone calipers, braking onto the latest Hope Trial Zone Rotors to deliver even greater braking power than before.
As an extra little bonus the bikes are also now fitted with updated Inspired Lock-On grips that feature a new grub screw-style lock-on system rather than the traditional pinch collar system.
