After a pretty hectic week at work, Ali and I decided to have a bit of time off and get some riding in. We put the bikes in the back of the Renault and headed over to Shipley Glen, where we happened to bump into Mr. #3 In The World, Ben Slinger. It was my first time there, and it's a pretty crazy place to say the least. So much to ride! Ali wasn't having much fun though, and as a direct result of that, Ali's helmet is now in a tree, somewhere in Shipley Glen. As a bit of a comp, the first person to send in a photo of them holding Ali's battered lid will win something off one of the desks here at Tarty HQ. Anyway, helmet throwing aside, we got to witness the Slinger Show, and he didn't disappoint. I got a few cheeky photos of some of the stuff he was pulling, and bear in mind this is just stuff he was doing to pass some time 'til a demo later that day in Leeds. Ridiculous... (Click the photos to make 'em bigger!)
Everyone at Shipley Glen What a lucky girl... Photos don't really do this justice. Beast.
Hefty sidehop. The weather on Sunday was a bit sketchy, and so we decided to stay pretty local and headed over to Back Cowm. There was a 4x4 day on, which meant we had to wear some pretty sweet looking orange hi-viz vests. Although that sucked, we did get to see a pretty much continuous line of Land Rovers and Range Rovers get stuck in one of the most rancid swamps I've ever seen. Ali got some pretty sweet bicycle manoeuvres done, and I got some not-so-good photos done. Better next time?
Tech gap to front/90. Beasty gap to rear.
A different, although still pretty beasty gap to rear. Getting all moto-trials - big roll up to manny.
Gap to hook to two.
Next weekend is the Shipley comp, so expect some more photos from there early next week!
