Hexcellent new Inspired products

Yep, went there with that post title.  Not scared.

Inspired released their latest models in their 26" range on Friday, including the Inspired Hex Team 2013 Complete Bike, Inspired Hex Pro 2013 Complete Bike and the Inspired Hex 2013 Frame.  The frame features a slight tweak to the geo with a 10mm longer front end.  This is then offset on the complete bikes by using forks with 5mm less offset and a slightly steeper (90x35) stem to keep your hands and feet in the same position relative to each other, but with a slightly more responsive front end.  Ideal.

New Conti Products?

Snaking the Echo product news briefly, EuroBike is in full effect now - with a good presence from those guys over at Inspired - and some new product info has been leaking out gradually.  Continental have been making awesome tyres for a long ol' time now, with the Der Kaiser and Rain King/Der Baron tyres being popular amongst the 'grip at all costs' fraternity and the Rubber Queen being a staple for those who prefer things lighter and bouncier.

With their addition of Danny MacAskill to their roster it seemed a step into the 24" market was likely, and here are the fruits of their labour - the as-yet un-named Danny Mac tyre:

Various riders have been testing these tyres and with some good initial reports hopefully they'll be out sooner rather than later...

Ali C riding photos

Ali C and Mark headed off to France and the Netherlands recently for a spot of riding, and now Inspired's blog has some photos up from their trip.  You can also check out a few other pics on the Clean site too.

We forgot to mention it before, but the guys at Inspired have set up a cool new blog featuring news, team riders interviews, pictures, videos and more!  You can check that out here, where there are a bunch of interviews and footage up from the recent Dressler Camp.  I really should've gone this year...  Next year it is!

The new Inspired Skye

Danny MacAskill's signature Inspired Skye 24" Bike has had a couple of little tweaks here and there for mid-2012, bringing it bang up to date.  The Hope brakes fitted to the bike now feature the 'Evo' version of the HopeTech levers fitted to new Hope Trial Zone calipers, braking onto the latest Hope Trial Zone Rotors to deliver even greater braking power than before.

As an extra little bonus the bikes are also now fitted with updated Inspired Lock-On grips that feature a new grub screw-style lock-on system rather than the traditional pinch collar system.

Continuing the 'new bikes' theme, the latest offering is the Inspired Hex Fuse, a mid-range bike that - as you may have already worked out - 'fuses' the componentry from the Hex Pro with the Hex Team.  A good spec at a good price makes a good bike!

New van, new video, new wallpaper

So - we now have a sweet new van to go on trips in (no more squeezing people into cars, yay).  We decided to try it out last night with a cruise to Liverpool after work, and here are some clips from the ride.  It was Adam's first ride on his Inspired Fourplay build, and Stan's first ride with the new TNN Blacks.



Adam also took a photo of me doing a hop over a rail into a bank in the car park, and we've now uploaded it as a wallpaper (click here for the full size version!) for anyone looking to freshen their computer up a little!

EDIT:  As a last minute update, a quick congratulations to Flipp for getting a First for his degree.  Nice work dude!

New video and new tool...

New product and new video too - Gav and Mark went for a ride in Blackpool last weekend, and Gav made this video of the day. 



Team rider Flipp has also been getting up to a bit of riding, here's a photo from Mike Judson of him doing a reverse bar manual tuck?  As you do!

We've also got a new multi-tool in from BBB - the Maxifold.  A whole load of features on a pretty dinky tool - it basically features almost everything you'll need if you get caught out on a ride!

 

If you happen to need a bag to carry said tool in, we also have some new bags from Try-All which may come in handy!

Inspired Skye Frame Kit - back in stock!

The Inspired Skye Frame Kits are now back in stock, unexpectedly soon!  We're also expecting some of the Fourplay Pro and Team bikes to come back into stock in about a week too...

Inspired Fourplay Pro 2012 bikes - in stock!

The new Inspired Fourplay Pro bikes are here! The geometry has been switched up a bit this year, with a 5mm shorter chainstay length and a 5mm higher BB. This quickens things up a bit for spins and manuals, but also helps out for more trialsy moves. The front end has also been lengthened by 5mm, but the bike is now fitted with a slightly steeper (90mm x 35° compared to the previous 90mm x 25° model) stem to keep your hands in the same place overall. To help make the bike a little better for front wheel moves the forks have also had 5mm taken off their offset. The rest of the bike has been freshened up too, including new 2012 Truvativ finishing kit and Avid Elixir 5 brakes!

Inspired 2012 Range

A few details have been released on the Inspired website regarding their 2012 range of bikes, specifically relating to the Element 24" and 26" bikes, and the Fourplay Pro and Fourplay Team completes. The Elements have mainly cosmetic changes, but the Fourplay bikes feature updated geometry, new colourways and a slightly tweaked spec. Check out those sweet limited edition white cranks on the Team bikes too...

Back in April, Mark headed over to Hope's new HQ in Barnoldswick with Inspired and Danny Mac. Here's the video from the trip.

New Inspired and Trialtech goodness...

We just received a new shipment of Trialtech and Inspired products, including the Trialtech SL Topcap, some new stems, some new Inspired bashrings and chainstay protectors and a couple of new bikes (no Skye bikes yet though, sorry!). More on the website soon!

Mark's bike + video

I posted this up online a week or so ago and entirely forgot to post it here. So, well, here it is!

This is my 2011 Fourplay Frame built up with a selection of the finest parts that Inspired and Trialtech have to offer. Massive thanks to those guys!











And as a bonus, while filming for Ali C's (now living in Blackpool instead of Hebden Bridge!) new video I got him to film a couple of clips of me too. Nothing huge, but had fun doing it which is the main thing. Expect Ali's Hex promo video to drop in the next day or two as well...



P.S. In case you were wondering what's going on with my forks, that's a glass fibre footjam plate Adam moulded for me. Carbon fibre version soon, hopefully!

Intriguing.

It's no secret that here at TartyBikes we're pretty keen on 24" related matters, and this Sean Watson video for Inspired is no exception. Some really creative riding in there borrowing moves from both BMX and trials creating something well worth watching! Sean's even made it over to the Dirt website which is pretty cool.
